Vijayawada : Suresh flays Oppn for 'false propaganda' on Byju's pact

Municipal administration minister Suresh accuses former CM Chandrababu Naidu of opposing efforts by the YSRCP govt to provide quality education to poor students 

Vijayawada : Minister for municipal administration and urban development Audimulapu Suresh said the opposition parties were creating hurdles in providing quality education to poor through false propaganda and baseless allegations.

Speaking to media persons at CM camp office in Tadepalli on Tuesday, the minister said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was keen on imparting quality education to the poor. As part of it, English was introduced as medium of instruction in schools. He said that the state government had entered into an agreement with Byju's to provide quality education to students of government schools on par with corporate schools. With this agreement, the Byju's will provide content to students from Class IV to X. Over 32 lakh students will get benefitted by the agreement.

Suresh said while the state government has been trying to provide opportunity of English as medium of instruction to students, Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu has been resorting to false campaign. He said that the government will distribute tabs to 8th Class students. While the state government has been providing educational opportunities to SC and ST students, Chandrababu Naidu, who protects the interests of corporate schools, was opposing it.

The minister said that the government schools are being developed on par with corporate schools. He said Byju's will remain as a gamechanger in education system in the state. He said that the government has been making efforts to improve skills of students adding the government's decision will benefit BC, SC and ST students in a big way.
