Vijayawada: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promises to change Viswa Brahmana Federation into Corporation

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Viswa Brahmana and Viswakarma JAC chairman Pavuluru Hanumantha Rao on Sunday said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy promised tochange the Viswa Brahmana Federation into Viswa Brahmana Corporation. The step is intended to resolve the problems being faced by the goldsmiths in the State.

Addressing the media here on Sunday, Hanumantha Rao said the JAC leaders had submitted a representation to the Chief Minister on May 18 and the JAC leaders received a call from the office of the Chief Minister to discuss the problems being faced by goldsmiths.

TheChief Ministerpromised to ensure that amendments are made to the GO number 272 that are creating problems to carpenters and goldsmiths and also for the upliftment of the Viswa Brahmins and Viswa Karmas.

Hanumantha Rao said proposals were made during the regime of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy to change the Viswa Brahmana Federation into corporation and the issue had been pending since then.
