Vijayawada: YSRCP leader allays fears on coronavirus

Vijayawada: YSRCP Medical Cell Krishna district president Dr Mahaboob Shaikh has said that people of Andhra Pradesh need not panic with the reports of the outbreak of Coronavirus, Covid 19, in some parts of the country. He said that only 1.40 lakh people in the world were affected by Corona and out of them, only 2 percent died that too not getting proper treatment on time. In a press release here on Monday, Dr Mahaboob Shaik said it was not correct to create panic among the people on the spread of Coronavirus. He said people would suffer financial losses if they stop working and not coming out of their homes due to fear of Coronavirus.

He said Coronavirus could not survive in states like Andhra Pradesh due to very hot climatic conditions. He said the State government has taken steps to prevent the spread of virus and treat the patients in the isolated wards arranged in the Government hospitals. He alleged the TDP is creating panic among the people and been responsible for postpone of local body elections. He said the TDP is afraid of defeat in the local body polls and spreading rumours on the Corona virus in the state.
