Viral Fevers are rampant in Kadapa district

Kadapa: People of the district silently suffering from different viral fevers and water bone diseases, including diarrhoea, Gastroenteritis, Chikungunya, Dengue, Malaria, Typhoid etc diseases are rampant in most of the Mandals in the district. Drastic comedown of platelets to 30 students and 400 students of IIIT in Idupulapaya going under treatment witnessed the intensity of the situation.

According to the number of the sources of people suffering from viral fevers and water-born diseases treated public, private hospitals including Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in the district. Among them 40 per cent of children between 4to 8 years age group, and 20 per cent of elders between 50 to 65 years age group suffering from throat infections and breathing-related diseases recorded in outpatient (0P) records of the government hospitals.

It may be recalled that weekdays ago a 15years old boy of Rami Reddy palle village of Vempalli mandal reportedly died after he was affected with Dengue fever. It is learnt that several people in the same village threaten to face with the same disease as they are undergoing for treatment in Chennai, Bangalore Kurnool.

On the other hand, seasonal diseases were rise in many Mandals due to sudden changes happened in the climate coupled with poor sanitary conditions more than 5,000 for the last couple of weeks cases were treated in the RIMS, and not less than 50 cases reported in the Primary Health Centers (PHC's) in the district.

Non-availability of Dengue Testing Kits sufficiently in the government hospitals one of the main reasons as the victim's faces life-threatening as they were rushed to the corporate hospitals in the last minute died while undergoing treatment. However, officials said there was no single death reported so far affected by Dengue."It is not correct to say all deaths occurring affected by Dengue fever. This will be confirmed only after receiving the confirmation from the labs at either Bombay or Hyderabad an official said.
