Visakhapatnam: ADRM Akshay Saxena initiates passenger contact campaign in AP Express

Visakhapatnam: In a move to improve passenger convenience, obtain feedback on board and to sensitise the staff for improvement of services in Visakhapatnam-New Delhi AP AC Express, a team of officials initiated a passenger-contact campaign.

The team comprises senior divisional security commissioner, senior divisional commercial manager, coach depot officer, station director, divisional electrical engineer (coaching) under the leadership of ADRM(Infrastructure) Akshay Saxena.

As part of it, feedback was collected from the passengers travelling in various classes regarding bedrolls, toilet maintenance, catering arrangement, among others. Feedback can also be given through WhatsApp by the passengers. Pamphlets were given to passengers, highlighting the helpline no 182.

Penalty was also imposed on pantry car contractor for not issuing receipts to passengers and few toilets were found stinking for closed ventilator and non-functional exhausts.

Corrective measures such as formal dress code for the station directors, training to frontline staff to help interact with the passengers are also planned for all trains.

Frequent checks will be held to resolve any inconvenience faced by the passengers.
