Visakhapatnam: TDP leader and former Minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu pointed out that Polavaram project would not be completed under the YSRC's rule.

Speaking to the media persons here on Saturday, he said, "It is being awarded to Megha Group headed by Krishna Reddy and on what qualification such a massive project has been handed over to an inexperienced contractor," asked the former Minister.

Ayyanna Patrudu fumed at the government for the announcement that the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Anakapalle, would be shifted from its place.

He said the research station was linked with the lives of thousands of farmers and it should not be relocated. He said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was trying to take it away to Pulivendula constituency and because of this, the shift was announced and demanded its continuance at Anakapalle.

He recalled that floriculture and horticulture got its due prominence in the State during N Chandrababu Naidu's governance.

On anaesthetist Sudhakar's issue, Ayyanna Patrudu blamed Government Hospital for Mental Care Superintendent S Radha Rani for acting at the behest of Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy. "It is unfair that Sudhakar's life took new twists just because he brought the lapses in the supply of N95 masks to the media's notice," he said.

For the mistakes committed by the government, it's unfortunate that the DGP and the Chief Secretary were going

to the court which never

happened in the past, he pointed out.

The TDP leader also pointed out that the Chief Secretary was signing on the files with eyes closed just for an extension of a three-month term.

Former MLAs V Anitha,

P Govind, and G Rama Naidu attended the conference.
