Visakhapatnam: The NSS Unit of Vignan's Institute of Information Technology (Autonomous), Duvvada, conducted on 'mind power and meditation' programme here on Wednesday.

It was a welcome relief for BTech as the platform provided them an opportunity to learn something new.

Led by Manjunadh from Bengaluru Brahmakumaris Ashra, the session aimed at motivating students to meditate and de-stress themselves. He exhorted the students to infuse their mind with positive energy and thoughts as negative thoughts make one feel more stressful.

Addressing students, he laid emphasis on staying happy and being content in their life as they were the prerequisites to survive apart from leading a healthy lifestyle.

Describing the mind as TEAM (coordination of thoughts, emotions, attitude and memories), he told the students to maintain it clutter-free.

Rector of the institution V Madhusudhan Rao, Vice-Principal and dean K Madhusudhana Rao along with 500 students took part in the session that concluded with a 30-minute long mediation.
