Visakhapatnam: Cancer awareness takes bus route

Visakhapatnam: Health Care Global Cancer Centre (a unit of Health Care Global Enterprises Limited) flagged off APSRTC buses carrying pink-tinted breast cancer awareness banner here on Wednesday.

The campaign held in collaboration with APSRTC aims at intensifying the fight against breast cancer.

The awareness takes the bus route as it plies at various busy junctions and thus attracts the attention of passengers and commuters.

With a volunteer from the HCG Cancer Centre distributing a set of bindi pack with instructions to conduct self-breast examination, a simple technique which can be followed every month.

Regional Manager of APSRTC M Y Danam, COO, HCG Cancer Centre-Visakhapatnam M D Raghuram, among others were present at the programme.
