Visakhapatnam: Dadi Veerabhadra Rao says YSRCP fighting against graft in TDP tenure
Visakhapatnam: YSRCP State general secretary Dadi Veerabhadra Rao has called Tekkali MLA K Atchannaidu as a 'mere' TDP leader and not a BC leader as being claimed by Telugu Desam Party.
Speaking to media here on Sunday, the YSRCP leader said the government was fighting against the corruption of the previous government and will not hesitate to take it to the logical end.
Referring to the father and son duo TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh, Dadi alleged that they looted the state and now Naidu is feeling the chill in his spine. "Naidu is known to make some allegation or the other instead of accepting the truth that the government is curtailing corruption," he said.
Further, Dadi said 21 TDP MLAs were ready to join the YSRCP and they were only waiting for Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's nod. "TDP is alive only because of the Chief Minister," he remarked.
Recalling Kodela Siva Prasad's suicide, Dadi wondered why did the TDP reach out on time and prevented the former AP Assembly Speaker from committing suicide. Naidu is trying to derive political mileage by highlighting the community for his personal elevation, the YSRC leader pointed out.
"It was only during NTR's period that the TDP stood for backward classes. However, in Naidu's era, TDP is a party of rich and affluent," he said.
Naidu is failing even as an Opposition leader and he should mend his ways, Dadi added.
