Visakhapatnam: DAV school designs app for online classes
Visakhapatnam: In a move to ease the process of e-learning, DAV Public School, Butchirajupalem has designed an app for the ensuing online assessments.
In times of lockdown, the school has ventured into digital classes for the academic year since April.
The 'DAV e-learning' app caters to 900 students studying from LKG to Class X. "About 800-plus students have downloaded the app that has class-wise digital lessons. Subject-wise teachers have compiled the lessons into videos, and they have further been fine-tuned to suit the students of various Classes," explains M Uma Maheswara Rao, Principal of the school and regional officer of DAV Institutions. With a schedule set for the day, the Android-supported app can also be used to repeat viewing lessons.
Currently, the app is being utilised by the students from Classes UKG to X.
Following simple ways of explanation compiled in the video-based lessons, students find the App quite convenient to learn from.
Without hampering the teaching-learning process, the Principal said, the online classes will continue with the cooperation of both teachers as well as parents.
