Visakhapatnam: State Tourism and Culture Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said government schemes are being implemented beyond caste, religion and politics.

Participating in a review meeting held at VMRDA Children's Arena on Wednesday, he said the government had sanctioned Rs 4,000 crore for the fee reimbursement and education sector is going to see a transformation from the fresh academic year.

Schemes such as Jagannanna Amma vodi, Jagannanna Gorumudhalu and Mana Badi Nadu-Naedu schemes aim to improve the quality education of the students, the Minister said.

As a part of the 'Mana Palana Mee Suchana' the officials focused on education sector on the third day of the programme. Experts from various institutions spoke about primary and higher education, their development and future plans. District Collector V Vinay Chand said the government schools in the district has changed.

He said the menu had been changed with the motto of providing nutritious mid-day meals. A pamphlet on safety measures to be followed to keep coronavirus at bay was released on the occasion. Member of Parliament, Araku, G Madhavi, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University P V G D Prasad Reddy, Damodaram Sanjeevayya National Law University Professor Satyanarayana, Joint Collector Arun Babu, District Educational Officer B Lingeswara Reddy and others participated.
