Visakhapatnam: Follow footsteps of NTR says Ganta Srinivasa Rao to TDP activists
Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam North MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Thursday stressed the need for TDP activists to follow the footsteps of the founder of the Telugu Desam Party and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao and draw inspiration from him here on Thursday.
Marking the birth anniversary of the former Chief Minister, Srinivasa Rao along with TDP Urban president and Visakhapatnam South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar and West MLA P G V R Naidu (Gana Babu) and East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna and other TDP leaders paid rich tributes to the statue of NTR at Beach Road.
In Gajuwaka, former MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao offered respects to NTR at Rajiv Nagar.
Similarly, former corporators and TDP workers paid tributes to the legendary actor-turned-politician at various places across the district, including Anakapalle, Narsipatnam, Chodavaram, Pendurthi, Gopalapatnam and Simhachalam.
Many of the TDP activists recalled the significant contributions made by NTR to the people of the then united Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of the latter's 97th birth anniversary.
Several actors took to Twitter handle to express their love and respect for NTR and share their fond memories.
NTR admirers shared mythological characters portrayed by the actor and paid tributes on social media platforms.
