Visakhapatnam: Greyhounds Training Centre land inspected

Visakhapatnam: Principal Secretary (Revenue) V Usha Rani visited the land allotted for the Greyhounds Training Centre here on Monday.

The government has decided to set up the training centre in Anandapuram. District Collector V Vinay Chand explained the land details to the Principal Secretary. The government has allotted 385 acres of land for training centre in the Chandak Panchayat Jagannadhapuram village.

About 90 farmers cultivate eucalyptus, cashew and mango orchards in 145 acres of land. Usha Rani interacted with the farmers who requested the officials to do justice to them as they have been cultivating in the area for the past 40 years. Usha Rani said measures would be taken to compensate all. Objections should be made to the Office of the Local Tahsildar, the farmers were told. Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy, Visakhapatnam RDO P Kishore Chandra were present.
