Visakhapatnam: HPCL celebrates Women's Day

Visakhapatnam: On the occasion of International Women's Day, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL), Visakh Refinery honoured all its women employees by celebrating International Women's Day by organising a programmehere on March 6.

The programme started with traditional lighting of lamp by Ajitha Vejendla, IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Visakhapatnam. V S Shenoy, Director-Refineries and other women employees of HPCL participated.

Narisetty Raja Rao welcomed the gathering and explained the various initiatives taken by HPCL -Visakh Refinery for the welfare of women employees. Ajitha Vejendla was the chief guest on the occasion and addressed the group on women empowerment.

Shenoy, Director-Refineries, also spoke on the occasion and stressed the importance of women in the society and complimented the women force of HPCL and encouraged them to extend their best to the society as well.

Ratanraj, Executive Director-VR, also spoke on this occasion appreciated the efforts made by the women in different roles in the society. Gummalla Rama emphasised on the significant roles and responsibilities played by women in every department at Visakh Refinery and highlighted the laurels achieved by them in the year 2019.
