Visakhapatnam: ICGS Shaurya on a goodwill visit to Darwin, Australia

Visakhapatnam: Indian Coast Guard Ship Shaurya which is on goodwill visit to Australia entered Port of Darwin on Tuesday.

The visit is aimed at building 'bridges of friendship' between the two maritime forces and capacity-building through conduct of mutual exercises and professional interaction in search and rescue, visit board search and seize (VBSS) and pollution response apart from cross deck exercises.

The ship was given traditional welcome by Maritime Security Agency and conducted joint exercise with HMAS Bathurst prior entering Darwin. The stay at Darwin will be till November 29 during which ship will be opened for visitors to share experiences in the field of combating pollution response, anti-piracy and armed robbery with the personnel of Maritime Border Force of Australia.
