Visakhapatnam: IndiGo to launch Bengaluru-Vizag flight today

Visakhapatnam: With effect from December 1, IndiGo Airlines will start a new flight service Bengaluru - Visakhapatnam–Bengaluru.

Announcing this here on Saturday, representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association (APATA) -- K Kumar Raja, O Naresh Kumar and D S Varma thanked MP M V V Satyanarayana and the airlines management for taking the initiative forward.

While the new flight will depart from Bengaluru at 5:35 am, it will arrive in Visakhapatnam at 7:05 am. From Visakhapatnam, it will depart at 7:45 am and arrives at 9:35 am in Bengaluru. According to APATA representatives, the service between 9 am to 12 noon and 7 pm to 9 pm are not being allotted due to non-availability of slots which is affecting the introduction of new flights during the peak hours.

Further, they requested the Visakhapatnam Airport director M Raja Kishore to speed up the commission process of the proposed taxi tracks so that it would improve the handling of improved movements at the airport.
