Speaking about the rise in prasadam price, temple executive officer D Bhramaramba said, "The new pricing of the prasadam at Simhachalam is in tune with the prasadam rate being sold at a few other temples. And the new price comes into place after seeking permission from the authorities concerned." Earlier, former trust board chairman P Ashok Gajapathi Raju refused to increase the prasadam price.
