Visakhapatnam: Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that YSRCP govt provides graft-free rule

Visakhapatnam: Ever since the State government has come to the power, it has been providing a year-long corruption-free regime, Tourism and Culture Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said in a press conference held at the VMRDA on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said during the lockdown, the government has distributed free ration to the poor four times and the fifth phase will be distributed by the end of this month.

The Minister said the government was taking steps to distribute 20 lakh house sites to the eligible poor. He explained various welfare schemes being implemented in the State.

Muttamsetti said the village/ ward secretariats and volunteer system introduced by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had given rise to revolutionary development in the villages.

He attended as a chief guest for 'Mana Palana- Mee Suchana' meeting held at VUDA Children's Arena. The Minister said that the volunteer system aims at reaching out to the beneficiaries to make them avail welfare schemes and also receive pension at their doorstep. "Even during lockdown, their services have been utilised in providing essential commodities to people. As a part of the volunteer system, four lakh people got the jobs," the Minister said.

Government's initiatives, schemes undertaken and other welfare measures have been brought to the fore at 'Mana Palana- Mee Suchana' programme for the past year .

Araku MP G Madhavi, VMRDA Chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, Government Whip B Mutyala Naidu, District Collector V Vinay Chand, MLAs Golla Baburao, T Nagi Reddy, G Amarnath, GVMC Commissioner G Srijana, Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy and others participated.
