Visakhapatnam: Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that the state stands out in taking welfare measures and executing various development activities through the volunteer system. "After the YSRCP came to the power, the government gave several jobs to the youth and provided facilities to the people, despite the financial troubles witnessed by the state. Schemes under Navaratnalu have been implemented without any hassle. At the same time, development is also given due importance. As per the calendar schedule announced, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is going ahead with the launch of the programmes like no other Chief Minister ever did," Srinivasa Rao said.

In all the wards of GVMC, services activities were conducted for the past two months, in view of the lockdown, the Minister reiterated. "Several donors have come forward to extend support to the poor which is a welcome trend," he added. Ever since the YSRC came to power, the Minister said, there's no allegation of corruption or lack of transparency in its functioning. He urged the public to wear masks, maintain personal hygiene and consider every preventive measure to keep the coronavirus at bay.
