Visakhapatnam: The Muslim community hailed the decision of the State Assembly passing a resolution against the NRC Bill. They performed milk bath to the portrait of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, YSRCP minority wing state general secretary I H Farooqi said that the incident once again proved that the CM is committed to safety and security of Muslims. A resolution was passed to this effect in the State Assembly which was hailed by all Muslims community.

Earlier, the TDP leaders tried to project that Jagan Mohan Reddy was scared of the Centre and hence would not oppose the Bill. However, the present resolution proves that the CM has the courage to oppose the Bill, the YSRCP leaders said.

YSRC leaders Farooqi, S A Rahman and others said that Jagan would always remain a leader for minorities. They also hailed the budget allocated for the minorities.
