Visakhapatnam records second Covid death

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam recorded its second Covid-19 death as a 45-year-old lady died due to the infection on Saturday.

She was getting treated at Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences, according to the health officials. After the first death of a 62-year-old resident of Chengalraopeta recorded last month, this is the second death registered in Vizag.

As many as 26 fresh cases were registered in Visakhapatnam and 11 new clusters added to the list. With this, the district crossed the 400-mark, taking the tally to 408 as on Saturday.

In Seethammadhara, one more case was registered again apart from the ones registered at Lansum Oxygen Towers a couple of days ago.

Fear gripped the colony residents as cases continue to record in the area. The GVMC carried out disinfection measures in the area and cordoned off the colony.
