Visakhapatnam: 'Sarileru Meekevuru Puraskarams' presented to women

Visakhapatnam: Honouring the contribution made by women in various fields, Sunny Events presented 'Sarileru Meekevuru Puraskaram' to a few women professionals in the city on Saturday.

The awards were given as part of the International Women's Day celebrations.

Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and PG courses Vice-Principal D Saritha, who participated as chief guest, said women play a major role in contributing to the organisational growth and there was no field being untouched by them.

Social activist Rahimunnisa Begum, radio jockey Sharmila, among others were felicitated with a trophy and a shawl on the occasion. The platform provided them an avenue to share their contribution to their respective fields.

Ramp walk, games, dance programmes formed a part of the event which was coordinated by CEO of Sunny Events K Sunitha and supported by Veeru Mama of V Team.
