Visakhapatnam: VCCI conducts annual general body meeting

Visakhapatnam: The Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held its annual general body meeting here on Saturday.

The election committee chairman announced the new team -- G Veera Mohan as president of VCCI, K V Krishna Kumar as vice president, Ravi Godey as secretary and Rolland Williams as treasurer for the year 2020-22.

Past president of the VCCI Kankatala Mallik highlighted the activities of the chamber and mentioned that the members of the chamber contributed to the tune of Rs.5 crore by way of donations to the government and helped reach out to the needy. He thanked all the members for coming forward to the contribution.

Meanwhile, Hema Yadavalli took charge as president of the Vizagapatnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, women's wing for the term 2020-22.

The other members of the wing include Sandhya Godey as honorary secretary, Jeeja as vice president and Vani Kancharla as treasurer.

The main focus of the wing this year is going to be skill development and it has readied a plan of action to organise programmes for upgrading the skills of women entrepreneurs across different sectors.
