Visakhapatnam: VUDA Park to cater to diverse age groups
Visakhapatnam: From the moment one steps into the premises to the time one exits, a host of amenities will now be housed at VUDA Park for the convenience of the families spending long hours with their loved ones.
As a part of the smart city projects, the park will be developed at a cost of Rs 30 crore. Divided into three zones, the park will have an adventure cycle track, pathways, seating arrangements and more greenery around the skating rink at zone-one.
While the zone-two consists of a multi-purpose lawn, a pathway, a revamped old Stupa, yogic walking path and facility to organise a picnic, zone-three comprises a boating facility, sports area, two badminton courts along with a basketball and tennis courts.
In addition, an open gym is also being set up at zone-three. Children can also indulge in adventure games at the premises wherein customised equipments will be set up for the younger visitors.
Interestingly, the park will have a solar-powered tree and a bench which will serve as mobile charging points.
Spread over an area of 35 acres, the park will offer a unique experience for the visitors and tourists in the days to come. "The idea is to ready the renovated park by January 25.
Keeping diverse age-groups and sections of people in view, VUDA Park is getting a fresh look with a plenty of facilities. Earlier, there was no connectivity in the premises spread over 35 acres. Now, the entire stretch is connected with pathways," explains M. Vinay Kumar, Superintendent Engineer, GVMC Smart City Projects.
Combining health, sports and entertainment, the renovated VUDA Park will soon be a place for many to relax and unwind amid pleasant environs.
