Viveka's daughter appeals for fair probe into murder

Kadapa: Five days after Y S Vivekananda Reddy's murder his daughter Dr Sunitha broke her silence over the issue at Pulivendula on Wednesday. Addressing a press conference, she demanded a fair investigation by Special Investigation Team (SIT) into her father's gruesome murder.

However, Sunitha refused to go into the allegations and counter allegations by the ruling TDP and opposition YSRCP, saying that any comments at this juncture by her would affect the investigation procedure. But she asserted that their family members were in no involved in the crime.

When asked why she instructed Vivekananda Reddy's personal assistant M L Krishna Reddy not to hand over the letter allegedly written by her father to police till her arrival at Pulivendula, she said all the items of evidence, including letter, were handed over to police the same day and truth will come out very soon.

She said that her father was very loving person and used to be in touch with them daily even though they live in Hyderabad. She said her mother Soubhagya was staying with her for some time due to health reasons.

Sunitha alleged that SIT functioning was being influenced by some top people. She reacted sharply when some media people asked her whether any internal disputes in her family led to her father's murder, saying that there were 700 members in YSR family and internal squabble were common in such a big families.

"I don't want to comment further on this as it would send a wrong message into people. What my sincere request to the SIT is to conduct impartial probe into the issue so that real culprits are punished," she said.
