Vizag Round Table honours 25 cops

A total of 25 police personnel awarded at Knights in Khaki by Vizag Round Table India – 77 as part of the fourth edition of the event in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Visakhapatnam: A total of 25 police personnel were awarded for their significant contribution to the society by the Round Table India (RTI), Visakhapatnam, here on Thursday.

The fourth edition of Knights in Khaki (KIK) organised by the Vizag Round Table India-77, Area 9, saw the cops walking away with the award at a befitting ceremony hosted at The Park Hotel.

KIK is an exclusive programme conducted for the policemen starting from the cadre of home guard till Inspector of Police. This year, a total of 25 police personnel was honoured for their hard work and dedication for service rendered in curbing crime and safe guarding the city against crime.

DCP II B Uday Bhaskar attended the event as chief guest and gave away the awards to cops. The objective of the initiative is to bridge the gap between the public and the police and create awareness among people on the significant contributions made by the police department, building a strong relationship between the department and the civil society.

Chairman of Vizag Round Table 77 Vidhan Mittal, National vice-president of Round Table India Akshay Dugar, among others attended the programme.
