Vizianagaram: 15 labourers rescued by locals

Vizianagaram: Locals rescued 15 farm labourers when they were about to washed out in floodwaters of stream as the tractor on which they were travelling overturned in remote village of Pachipenta mandal of Vizianagaram district on Friday.

As per the information, agriculture workers of Kandirivalasa have started by tractor to reach Jeegiram village to take part in farm works.

When they were passing through a culvert on tractor, all of a sudden, the flow of water is increased in the stream and the tractor is overturned.

The nearby locals immediately reached the culvert and rescued all the workers with the help of ropes. Otherwise, this would have been a major mishap and might have led to a loss of lives.
