Vizianagaram: 16 medical colleges will be established in State says Minister Alla Nani
Vizianagaram: The government is determined to provide healthcare to the people, said Minister for Health Alla Nani here on Thursday. He said the government had allocated Rs 16,000 crore to improve the healthcare in the State.
He was visited Andhra University campus here to inspect the site for the government medical college. He also inspected 30 of land available on the premises of the government general hospital to establish the medical college. Ministers P Pushpasrivani and Dhrmana Krishna Das were also present
Speaking on the occasion, he said as many as 16 medical colleges would be established in the State and most of them would be set up in the backward and agency areas like Paderu and Vizianagaram.
A nursing college too would be set up along with every teaching hospital and medical college. "Our aim is to complete the construction of all buildings as soon as possible and tenders will be called for these works in August.
We will bring superspecialty medical services even in agency areas and even downtrodden also will get those services free," he said.
District Collector M Hari Jawaharlal, MP B Chandrasekhar, MLAs K Veerabhadra Swamy and others were present.
