Decision on Pallevelugu bus services yet to be taken

Vizianagaram: Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation has resumed its services in the district. The authorities have taken all precautions.

The RTC authorities have started plying a few services withing the districts. All measures are taken to enforce social distancing norms.

Passengers below the age of 10 years and 60 are barred from travelling in buses on the first day. All the passengers are advised to wear masks and sanitisers are provided to them.

Out of 792 busses, only 139 busses are operated in north coastal region comprising Vizianagaram and Srikakulam district. P Appala Raju, Regional Manager, said, "We have initiated bus services after the gap of two months. We are enforcing social distance even inside the busses also."

On day one, Express and Ultra Deluxe services were resumed and decision on plying Pallevelugu services is yet to be taken. Services to Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Parvathipuram and Palakonda were partially restored.
