Vizianagaram: Fire mishap in timber market

Vizianagaram: Huge quantity of timber, wood and other construction material is turned into ash as the shops in Kolla bazaar are gutted in the early hours of Wednesday in Vizianagaram.

Kolla bazaar is a street where the wood, timber, furniture and other material available. Even supporting logs used in building construction also available here on rent basis. But all of sudden around eight shops are surrounded by fire and shops belong to M.Ramesh, M.Srinivas and others are turned into ash. The incident is occurred in the early hours around 4 AM and none is aware of it.

Anyhow the locals came to know the incident and informed the fire station. Even the plastic material also gutted and the thick smoke is spread the entire market place. A woman and a boy who are residing near the shops are suffocated and they are shifted to hospital. As per the primary estimation, the loss would be Rs.4-5 Lakhs.
