Vizianagaram: Fort city completely shut down
Vizianagaram: The people of historical fort city have completely observed Janata Curfew in response to the call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi by participating voluntarily in the war against prevention of coronavirus spread. All the main roads and streets wear deserted look.
Markets nearby Fort and Clock Tower are also completely shut down. Except emergency services like police, health and fire staff, no one can be seen on roads and completely confined to their houses.
The city witnessed a real curfew in 2012 during the Samaikya Andhra agitation and forced to remain indoors and after seven years, now, everybody is voluntarily supporting the Janata Curfew to prevent the spreading of coronavirus.
The people extended their solidarity towards nation and the staff belongs to emergency services like medical and health, sanitation, fire, police departments for their untired efforts to make the society free from coronavirus.
The staff of emergency services were patrolling on roads as part of observing Janata Curfew. On the other side, a person, who was admitted with suspected symptoms of coronavirus at Maharaja General Hospital, got negative result.
On Sunday, the report came from Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada in this regard. Meanwhile village volunteers are knocking every door and enquiring the health condition of families.
