Vizianagaram: Loyalists waiting for Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's recognition

Vizianagaram: Loyalists, who have been sailing with Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy from the days when he quit the Congress, are patiently waiting for recognition from him.

The members of two families, have been extending their support to Jagan Mohan Reddy since the days he launched Odarpu Yatra.

Many leaders joined the YSRCP after the party was launched and some of them became legislators and Members of Parliament.

Penumatsa Sambasiva Raju, an eight-time MLA, is one of the senior-most leaders in YSRCP, and worked as Minister in M Channa Reddy and Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy Cabinets.

Sambasiva Raju was the first leader who extended his support to the YSRCP president. Apart from him, Avanapu Suribabu, then Muncipal Chairman of Vizianagaram, also supported Jagan Mohan Reddy. Suribabu later died. His sons Vijay and Vikram have been sailing with the ruling party for the past 10 years.

Sambasiva Raju is 80 years old now. Despite his unstinted support to the party, the YSRCP is yet recognise his service and give him prominent. He was denied party ticket to contest in the Assembly elections He has expressed hoped that the Chief Minister would offer MLC post. Vijay and Vikram are also curiously waiting for recognition.

Sambasiva Raju said "I am confident that the CM will definitely recognise my services."
