Vizianagaram: Special Chief Secretary inspects lands for CTU
Vizianagaram: The government has increased efforts to establish Central Tribal University at right place. Previously, the higher officials from various departments have visited the lands at Pachipenta mandal of Salur agency. Special Chief Secretary for Higher Education Satish Chandra on Thursday visited Kuntina Valasa and Donkina Valasa villages of Mentada mandal in the district.
Later he conducted a review meeting with officials and collector in this regard. Collector M Harijawaharlal said that they have identified around 426 acres of lands in Chinnamedapalli and Marrivalasa villages of Mentada and Dattirajeru mandals, which are 60 kms away from Bhogapuram International Airport, 38 kms from Vizianagaram railway station and 17 kms away from Gajapathinagaram railway
station. Tribal Cultural Study Centre Director Prof Sarraju, Vice Chancellor for Tribal University Prof Kattamani and Collector M Harijawaharlal also accompanied Satish Chandra. MLAs B Appalanarasaiah, P Rajanna Dora also participated in the programme.
