VMC Chief Engineer inspects housing complex

Vijayawada: VMC chief engineer Mariyanna made a field visit at the ongoing housing complex construction work under JNNURM scheme at Jakkampudi on Thursday. He enquired about the construction details with the officers monitoring the work and gave a few suggestions.

He told the officials to get the work done soon and take all measures to allocate the houses to the beneficiaries. He also visited block 251 and told the contractor to fix doors and windows and provide electricity connections and submit a report as per the instruction of the district Collector.

The concerned engineers brought to the notice of the chief engineer that the contractors stopped the work as there were bills pending from 2018. Later, the chief engineer visited the sewage treatment plant at Jakkampudi and visited the construction of housing complex at Kabela area. He asked the officials about the construction of Modern Kabela and gave a few suggestions on it.
