Vote Congress for the future of youth: Pramilamma
Tirupati: The country's development and peace will be in peril if the communal party comes to power, said Congress Tirupati Assembly candidate K Pramilamma.
Speaking after winding up her whirlwind door-to-door electioneering on the last day of campaign in the city here on Tuesday, to media, the senior Congress leader said that the voters should elect Congress party to safeguard the communal fabric for the integrity and security of the nation and also the future of the youth, who are now facing a bleak future in the wake of growing unemployment in the BJP rule.
Pandit Nehru laid strong foundation for India's growth and Indira Gandhi tirelessly worked for the welfare and progress of the poor with many schemes, she said, asserting that the grand old party under the dynamic leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will bring back the country on the road to progress. She criticised both TDP and BJP for keeping many of the UPA initiatives in cold storage affecting the progress of the pilgrim city.
Pramilamma stated that if her party comes to power, it would give priority for the development of the slums in the city and also the three panchayats that were merged with Tirupati corporation.
The Congress leader mentioned that being the native of the city she fully aware of the problems faced by the people of various section and would do her best for resolving them.
