Voters creates record with Polling turnout in AP elections

Amaravati: The 2019 general elections in Andhra Pradesh have witnessed a new record with the polling turnout on 11 April. The voters rushed to the polling booths without caring the sizzling summer heat, stood in the long queue lines and cast their votes.

Before the elections day, the Andhraites from all over Telangana and other states were seen reaching their native places in order to take part in the polling. Now on seeing this response, what is this evolution means? what's this judgment is going to look like? these questions have become a hot topic in state politics.

On Thursday, till the voting time is concluded 75 percent of the polling was registered across the state. Even after 6 pm, the voters were still standing in the queue. With this, the EC has estimated that the voting percentage may cross 80%.

The CEO Gopal Krishna Dwivedi said that for the future of AP the voters have decided who is the best through their votes. Even the voters have openly declared that they have voted for their future.

With the malfunction of EVMs during the first hours, for which the voters have to return back home, but again in the evening, they turned back at the polling stations to cast their votes. Till 8 pm in the evening, the polling continued.
