VSEZ Development Commissioner A R M Reddy felicitated

Visakhapatnam: The officers, staff members and Units of VSEZ felicitated the Development Commissioner, VSEZ, A R M Reddy, on completion of his one-year tenure at work, at the Administrative Building, VSEZ, at Duvvada here. He succeeded in ensuring highest performance of export growth in the country, among all the zones in Special Economic Zone sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Kiran Babu, Joint Development Commissioner, apprised the gathering of the highest commitment levels of A R M Reddy, which has finally yielded the highest exports of Rs 92,914 crore in the current fiscal year, a record by itself in the last 30 years in existence by VSEZ, despite economic recession in the production sector in domestic tariff area, and automobile sector in the world and in the country as well.

In the last one-year VSEZ under the stewardship of A R M Reddy, as many as 89 new proposals were cleared for establishment of new units under the SEZ Scheme in the States of AP and Telangana. The current financial year 2019-20 (till now) registered a growth rate of over 37% corresponding to the same period in the previous year. Addressing the gathering, the Development Commissioner thanked all the officers and staff members present for the felicitation extended to him.
