Weather forecast: Coastal Andhra and Rayalseema To Receive Heavy Rains In Next Two Days
With low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains are expected in Andhra Pradesh for the next three days. Due to cyclone in Bay Of Bengal across South-Western Andhra and Northern Tamil Nadu, there could be moderate to heavy rainfall. The low pressure extends from the point of formation to Northern Andhra. Visakha Meteorological Center officials are expecting the low pressure to become stronger by evening resulting in heavy rains.
On the other hand, the RTGS has warned of heavy rains in coastal Andhra, northern Andhra and Rayalaseema districts due to the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. Heavy rains were reported in Chittoor, Anantapur, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna and Godavari districts from Tuesday. The rest of the districts is expected to receive moderate rainfall.
Heavy rainfall is expected in both the coastal Andhra districts on Wednesday and Thursday. "The rivers in Rayalaseema are prone to flooding," RTGS said. Thundershowers are likely to occur at several places.
