Weather forecast: Cyclone Bulbul to have its effect on Telugu states

As stated earlier, the Bulbul cyclone erupted in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a strong storm. With the storm heading towards West Bengal and Bangladesh, the cyclone has its impact on the neighbouring states Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana which are receiving moderate rainfalls.

"The Bull Bull cyclone is currently in the vicinity of the Andaman region, which is already experiencing moderate to heavy rains in the coastal states, the Met Department said. The sea is likely to be turbulent with wind speeds of up to 100 km per hour off the coast of Bengal.

According to the Visakhapatnam Weather Alert Center, North Andhra would be affected with the Bulbul cyclone. It is expected to cross the coast in West Bengal later this evening. There are also chances that the storm would change its direction and move towards Odisha, resulting in massive rainfall.
