Weather forecast: Heavy rains likely in Andhra Pradesh in next 24 hours
Andhra Pradesh Weather Report: The Amaravati Meteorological Centre has predicted heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh over the next 24 hours. Amaravati meteorological department officials have issued a statement indicating that there could be a chance of heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning. Thundershowers are expected in several places in North Coastal Andhra on Thursday and Friday.
On the other hand, the surface trough in the Arabian Sea has become active during the monsoon with the impact of the low depression on the west coast. Meanwhile, heavy rains occurred in many parts of the country on Wednesday. The rains that occurred at different places in the state are as follows, 70 mm in Mamidivalasa, Kotanandoor, Jiyammavalasa, Eleswaram, Vaddadi, 52 mm in Buchaiahpeta, 50 nm in Rangapuram, Pachipenta and Sithanagaram, 57 mm in Chatrai, 53 nm in Kamavarapu Kota and 45 mm in Devarapalli.
Even in Telangana, heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning in Nalgonda and Suryapet district occurred on Wednesday night. However, thunderstorms and lightning are likely to cause heavy rainfall in the state on Thursday and Friday evenings, the Hyderabad Meteorological Department said. Farmers in both states are delighted with the heavy rains.
