Weather Report: Andhra Pradesh likely to receive Southwest Monsoon ton June 10
The meteorological department said that slight rains could be expected in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday with the effect of the surface trough over Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Rayalaseema. However, the meteorological department said that there will be no decrease in temperatures.
The Southwest monsoon is expected to hit Andaman and some other parts of the central Bay of Bengal, including the southern Bay of Bengal, on 27th of this month. While it would be reaching Kerala on June 1 and Andhra Pradesh on June 10.
The meteorological department said that there will be hailstorms in the south-east coast of the country, with scattered showers in Rayalaseema and Uttarakhand on the 27th of this month. Temperatures were 40 to 44 degrees in the south coast of Rayalaseema on Monday. Thundershowers and lightning rains have been witnessed in North Coastal Andhra.
Meanwhile, there are scorching temperature in the Andhra Pradesh amassing 48 degrees in parts of the state. The disaster management board has warmed the people not to come out of homes unless necessary. Maximum temperature is likely be in the range of 41-42 degree Celsius in some places in Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, East Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts.
