Website to guide village secretariat exams created: Collector J Nivas
Srikakulam: The district administration has created a separate website to guide candidates who are going to appear for village secretariat examinations. This is the first time the district administration created a website to guide the aspirants.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Collector J Nivas said that 1,14,734 candidates applied for examinations begin from September 1-8. He said 306 centres were set up across the district for the examinations and added, of the total candidates, 70,698 are men and 44,036 are women.
To avoid confusion among candidates over locating examination centres at mandal headquarters, he said the website would guide the candidates to accurately reach the examination centre. Candidates can click www.vse2019.com on their mobiles to locate the examination centre and the entire details will be appeared in the website including distance and route map, the Collector elaborated.
As most candidates have been allotted centres more than 100 kilometres away from their native places, he said the district administration arranged RTC and private buses from Rajam to Itchapuram, Rajam to Kaviti, Regidi to Palasa, Vangara to Srikakulam. In total, 213 RTC and 118 private buses have been engaged for the purpose, Collector said.
The examinations will be conducted on par with AP Public Service Commission pattern by coding of question papers as A,B,C,D and OMR sheets need to be filled and digital key arranged to open question paper bundles, he stated. Stating that CC cameras also arranged at police stations where question papers and OMR sheets kept, he said videographers also engaged to record vigilance at all examination centres.
The Collector requested the candidates to reach one-day before the examination centre for those who were allotted centers at distant places. He also appealed to candidates not to believe rumours and all tests will be conducted in a transparent manner without giving no scope for irregularities.
