"Why taxes for only Hindu Temples?" Pawan Kalyan targets CM Jagan once again
Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan once again targeted AP CM YS Jagan. The Andhra Pradesh government recently raised subsidies for Hajj and Jerusalem pilgrims. But Pawan tweeted a video of Chilukur Balaji Temple's chief priests where Ranjarajan is speaking.
Pawan Kalyan also tweeted a Telugu translation of Rangarajan's speech in English. "We have no objection to the government of Andhra Pradesh increasing subsidies for Haj pilgrims and pilgrims to Jerusalem. But all the secular governments including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have some questions from us.
The Secular State Governments collect 23.5% of the income from temples in the form of various taxes annually," he tweeted. 15% in Endowment Administration Tax, 2% in Audit Fee and 2% in respect of Common Good Fund.
"No church or mosque pays a single tax. Why are only temples paying taxes? According to Article 27 of the Constitution of India, the government should not collect any taxes from charities. And why are they only collecting taxes from temples? To answer this short question," the chief priests of the Chilukur Balaji Temple have questioned the government.
However, with the latest tweets from Pawan Kalyan predicts that the Jana Sena chief is inching towards BJP.
