Will CBI court exempts CM Jagan from appearing the court till High Court's decision?
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who is supposed to appear in Nampally CBI special court on Friday for the hearing in the disproportionate assets case was absent to court. However, the special court has already advised Jagan to attend the court in Enforcement directorate case stating that it would serve notices in case of absenteeism.
As the chief minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy is absent to the court on Friday; it remains to be seen whether the CBI court issues notices or will it wait for High Court's decision on the petition filed by Jagan seeking exemption from personal attendance.
YS Jagan has approached the High Court seeking exemption from personal attendance in CBI cases. The High Court adjourned the hearing to February 6 directing the CBI to file a counter.
The CBI court in last November has dismissed the exemption petition filed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy stating that the reasons specified by the latter were not deemed to be given exemption.
