Will strive for overall development of students at SPMVV

Tirupati: The induction programme for the newly admitted students of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) was held here on Tuesday. The programme was meant for creating awareness on life skills to the new students.

Speaking on the occasion, the In-charge Vice-Chancellor (V-C) Prof V Uma has underlined that SPMVV will not confine just to complete the syllabus but will take steps for the overall development of students during their course period. Only with cooperation of students, the varsity can go forward and achieve better ranking than its present NAAC A grade.

Everyone should be proud of the fact that its ragging free campus and the faculty will also act as mentors, she claimed and added that through mentoring system, students can resolve all their problems and continue their education in stress free atmosphere.

Life skills training classes will be held for three days from Wednesday during which faculty and officials will be available for students, she said. Registrar Prof DM Mamatha has said that students should make use of their precious time and be away with social media. Deans Prof K Murugaiah and Prof A Jyothi have explained about various facilities in the campus for the benefit of students.

SHE team In-charge P Sumathi said that police will always be ready to extend any help to students. Student Affairs Dean Prof G Savitri, Admissions Director Prof P Suvarnalatha Devi, faculty and students took part.
