Woman commits suicide in Kurnool district

Devanakonda: In a tragic incident, a married woman has committed suicide over unable to bear the harassment of her husband and in-laws. This incident happened at Alarudinne village in Devanakonda division of Kurnool district.

According to the details given by the family members, Jangam Sandhya (20) of Telangana got married to Jangam Jagadish, a native of Alarudinne village in last year. The couple lived happily for some time, and after that Jagadish started harassing Sandhya. In this context, Sandhya, who unable to tolerate the harassment of her husband, has committed suicide by consuming the pesticide in the house.

The deceased family members alleged that the husband and his parents have killed their daughter and hold a protest in front of the police station. On the incident, SI Maruthi visited the spot, registered a case, and shifted the body to Pattikonda government hospital for post-mortem.
