Addanki: As part of the annual inspection, Prakasam SP Siddharth Kaushal visited the Ballikurava police station and inaugurated the two-room women help desk as part of implementation of dasasutras, on Saturday.

The SP inspected the records and inquired about the status of the investigation of various cases. He made few suggestions to the Addanki CI I Anjaneya Reddy and Ballikurava SI S Nancharaiah on the speedy investigation with a focus on theft and physical offenses. He ordered the officials to resolve the cases by collecting proper and technical evidence and make sure no cases are kept pending. He ordered the police personnel that every one of them should be involved in visible policing every morning and evening and conduct vehicle checking and night patrols.

The SP said that a female staff member should be appointed as the receptionist in the police station. He ordered the staff to receive the public politely, ask them to sit and provide drinking water, and treat the victims sympathetically, and to continue an impartial investigation.

He said that the help desks are being set up specifically for women and young children, who are coming to police stations from towns and villages. He interacted with the women police and village women welfare secretaries, inquired about the issues they are facing in the duty.

Later, the SP visited Vemavaram, a faction village in the Ballikurava Mandal and instructed the SI to visit the faction villages twice a week and to deal harshly with the faction.
