Workshop on 'Teaching Methods For Better Fruits' held
Guntur: A one-day workshop on 'Teaching Methods For Better Fruits' was being conducted to faculty members of Dr KLP Public School at the Seminar Hall of Dr KLP Public School by P Gopichand and P Nagasuseela, associate professors of department of English, JKC College, Guntur on Wednesday.
Forty-five faculty members of the school attended the workshop. A good number of innovative methods, approaches and techniques were introduced to the staff. The resource persons imparted knowledge regarding how to make the class lively and interesting by narrating real life incidents and short stories. Teacher centered approach, student centered approach, flipped classroom, enquiry-based learning, expeditionary learning and personalised learning were the thrust areas in the first session. How to use school resources, brain storming, using pinterest, using puzzles, games, classes outside the classroom and story board teaching were some of the main areas focussed in the second session. Collaborative teaching, debriefing, classroom action research was explained in detail. School secretary and correspondent Dr K Krishna Prasad said that Principal Radhini and all the staff members got benefited from this workshop on teaching methods. Such type of workshops would be useful to enhance the teaching skills of the teachers at the beginning of academic year, he added.
