World Fisheries Day: CM Jagan to launch YSR Matsyakara Bharosa scheme on Thursday

East Godavari: On the occasion of World Fisheries Day, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch the YSR Matsyakara Bharosa scheme in the Mummidivaram constituency of East Godavari district on Thursday. The last government paid Rs 4000 per family to support fishing families during sea bans. The YS Jagan government has now raised it to Rs. 10000.

At the inauguration of the scheme, CM Jagan expressed his happiness on Twitter. "Gods blessings and blessings of the people we fulfil the obligation. On the occasion of Fisheries Day, govt will provide Rs 10,000, a diesel subsidy of Rs 9,000, and a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family of those who died accidentally." CM Jagan tweeted.

The scheme will benefit 1.35 lakh fishing families in the state. The Fisheries Department has been allotted Rs 551 crore in the budget to provide infrastructure priority.
