Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra opened in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: In a step to expand the facilities of issuing reserved and unreserved tickets, the Ministry of Railways launched computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) cum Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) terminals at centres known as Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra.
The authorised ticket agents, who have worked at least for five years in providing railway tickets for passengers of Indian Railways are eligible to become the newly-launched Kendra licensee.
The facility is being initiated under the PPP mode. On Monday, Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair Chetan Kumar Shrivastava commissioned the Kendra at K. Nalini Yatra Ticket Suvidha Kendra, MVP Colony. This is the sixth such facility in Visakhapatnam.
